Separate applications will be processed through both college admission systems and the decision for joint degree admission will be coordinated by the admission directors for the JD and MPH programs only after the applicant has been accepted by both programs, and complies with application requirements of both the JD and CoPH. Admission into either program does not guarantee admission into the other program. If a student is not accepted into both programs during the joint degree application review, the student cannot complete the joint degree program. However, the student can attend the single program into which acceptance was granted. Students who have already graduated with a JD or MPH degree will not be eligible for the joint degree program. If you are interested in obtaining a JD degree from the University of Nebraska, you must first apply for admission. In order to apply for admission, you must do each of the following.

Take the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) and have the results forwarded to the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and have the results forwarded to the Law School Admission Council Credential Assembly Service (LSAC CAS). You need not take the TOEFL if you are a citizen of an English speaking country, for example, Great Britain or Australia. Students must have a minimum of a 600 on the paper-based TOEFL or a minimum of 100 on the internet-based TOEFL. Have two letters of recommendation (in English or translated into English) sent to the LSACCAS.

Masters of Public Health All non-US transcripts must be evaluated by the World Education Service (WES) using their ICAP Course-by-course evaluation service. The GRE is optional for all applicants, but it is highly recommended for any applicant with below a 3.0 GPA from their previous coursework. Applicants must submit 3 letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to academic, practice and/or research abilities. Personal Statement A minimum TOEFL score of 550-paper, 213-computer, 80-Internet. Official IELTS scores should be sent directly to the UNMC College of Public Health. The minimum score requirement is 7.
