The main focus of the program is evidence-based lifestyle interventions for individuals and communities. A Preventive Care specialist is trained to practice alongside other health professionals in medical settings and clinics, complementing the work of physicians, to advise local, state and national public health agencies and to teach and conduct research in academic and industry settings.
