This qualification provides the knowledge and skills needed to work as a Dental Technician. It covers the theoretical and practical, hands-on construction of full dentures, acrylic and chrome partial dentures, crowns and bridges, orthodontics and a full range of other dental appliances such as veneers, mouth guards, splints and all-ceramic CAD/CAM restorations to name only a few. Participants complete a total of 25 units over 8 terms of study (2 years). Students are assisted in finding work placement to ensure they are work ready. The course is recommended for people who are seeking a rewarding career in the dental industry, are creative and enjoy working with their hands.
