NIC offers an Extended Foundation Program for students who have achieved an IELTS overall score of 5.0 (or equivalent) and wish to commence studies in an academic environment. Students will undertake one additional trimester of study, consisting of four core courses. This program provides a pathway to access a range of bachelor's degrees offered by the University of Newcastle, as well as entry to an NIC Diploma. NIC's Extended Foundation Program consists of twelve academic courses, studied over three or four trimesters (12-16 months).
