The global health care (learning and teaching) program aims to advance knowledge and skills for health professions education. It explores the theory and practice of teaching in health professions and encourages you to develop a broad understanding of both learning and teaching. There are two core learning and teaching topics in this specialisation. One focuses on enhancing the learners' experiences through teaching approaches to engage individual learners in a variety of education settings including university and the workplace. The other focuses on planning learning, and the educator's role in curriculum design, implementation and assessment of learning in a variety of education settings. You will have the opportunity to reflect on, and explore, the complexities of learning and teaching in health professions. Current best education practice will be explored within professional, organisational and political context of the needs of health profession graduates.
