This on-campus course is offered at Launceston, Hobart and Rozelle on a full time or part time basis. The course length is a minimum of one year of full-time study and a maximum of two years part time. The objectives of the Bachelor of Nursing with Honours are: Develop an understanding of individual responses to nursing practice and how this impacts on research. Develop the ability to critically and theoretically analyse a context or aspect of practice and apply this analysis to the research project. Conduct a modest but rigorous research project that incorporates an appropriate research design and demonstrates critical engagement with the phenomenon of interest. Contribute to a scholarly community through dialogue, debate and critique. Studying in Tasmania, our whole Island becomes your campus. Speak with your unit coordinator about how you can gain practical experience by volunteering in research initiatives, becoming an ambassador, or taking part in a work experience program. Graduates of the Bachelor of Nursing with Honours may enter graduate/professional development programs in Australian healthcare systems. Graduates are prepared to undertake postgraduate research and activities, and gain preferential access to postgraduate courses.
