Community and family health are often under pressure from many different directions in our modern day to day lives, and this can lead to complex issues if untreated. You can support and advocate for family welfare, community health, employment, and disability services.CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) focuses on the skills required for the community services sector and prepares you to work with people experiencing complex social issues.You can take this course as an entry pathway into the communitysocial services industry.At this level, workers possess specialised skills in community services and operate autonomously within their scope of practice, following broad guidance from senior management. They support individuals in making positive changes to enhance personal and social well-being and may also supervise other workers and volunteers. Additionally, they may be involved in case management and program coordination. The skills learned in this course must be applied in line with Commonwealth and StateTerritory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice. To complete this course, students must undertake at least 200 hours of mandatory work placement, as specified in the assessment requirements of the units of competency. No licensing, legislative, or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
