In this stream, you will gain an understanding of healthcare finance, health program evaluation and health technology assessment. In the context of currently rising demand for healthcare and increasingly limited budgets, you will develop decision-making skills for evaluating the trade-offs among quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare services, including evaluating the impact of changes in care on individual- and population-level health and financial well-being. Health economists play a key role in resource allocation decisions in health delivery and regulation. Health economic skills are currently in high demand and graduates of this stream can foresee a career in health economics departments in universities government and industry.Career opportunities<br>The Monash Master of Public Health is an optimum foundation for career development and for senior roles in public health and the health system.
