A Bachelor of Music in music education gives students a solid foundation in the fundamentals of teaching K-12 music, along with a large number of performance opportunities. Participate in 16 weeks of student teaching in k-12 music education settings. Work with professors with strong practical experience. Receive Illinois K-12 Music Teacher Licensure upon graduation. At the DePaul School of Music, you will learn from a faculty of working, professional musicians in a collaborative, performance-focused environment.
