The Applied Music major in the Bachelor of Music degree program is designed for students interested in a career in music performance. Students receive rigorous training in their particular area of study. All students desiring to pursue a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree must audition. Graduates have attended top graduate universities and conservatories. They have also found careers in professional symphony orchestras and opera houses nationwide. The Bachelor of Music Education degree requires ensemble participation each semester. Ensembles include: Band, Choir, Early Music Ensemble, Handbells, Jazz, Opera Theater, Orchestra and Chamber Music. The School of Music presents 300 concerts every year.
