Recommendations
All applicants, regardless of concentration, are required to submit three letters of recommendation with their application.
At least one of these letters is required to come from an academic faculty member and should speak to the applicant's academic abilities.
Letters of recommendation should highlight the applicant's musical and/or pedagogical interests and abilities, involvement in musical activities, potential contributions to the profession, and early career plans.
Statement of Professional Goals
Outline your educational plans and career goals and discuss how your proposed plan of graduate study relates to them.
To be considered for admission to the School of Music, the minimum TOEFL score is 79. The IELTS is not accepted. International applicants must complete and submit official scores for the TOEFL iBT test. The IELTS is not accepted.

The Master of Music in Performance is offered for all orchestral instruments, guitar, piano and voice. Along with course requirements, candidates for the Master of Music in Performance must present a public recital and pass an oral examination. The University of Delaware's vibrant music community provides a challenging and supportive environment emphasizing musical growth, entrepreneurship, innovation, and scholastic rigor. Through study with our distinguished faculty, graduate students in the School of Music acquire the necessary skills for success in their chosen career path.
