The Bachelor of Arts in Music is a versatile degree that offers maximum flexibility for combining. With fewer course requirements than the Bachelor of Music degree, this degree is perfect for students wishing to study music at the collegiate level while also pursuing another area of study. Musicology is the academic study of music from around the world, both past and present. It encompasses the history, theory, and sociology of music. Our students work with world renowned faculty to learn how music of all times and all places is put together and used. In our undergraduate programs (B.A. and B.M.), students interact with our faculty in lecture courses, seminars, honor's theses, independent studies, and summer-research projects.
