The Bachelor of Arts in Music Education program is based on the idea that the best way to prepare students to become great music teachers is to constantly place them in actual teaching settings alongside outstanding veteran music educators. The core of the music education major is a six-semester fieldwork-based course sequence taught by a faculty of veteran educators of the NH public schools and active cooperating teachers. Students will have at least one teaching experience and one related music education lecture each week. This six-semester sequence will cover as wide a variety of music teaching situations as possible. SNHU has established partnerships with a variety of local school districts and outside music organizations that will allow for these constant hands-on experiences.
