OPTION 1: ADMISSION BASED ON GRADES FROM HIGH SCHOOL
For this option, the SAT or ACT is NOT required for admission.
This option is for students who have already graduated from high school (or will soon graduate from high school).
Students who have attended another college or university will be considered for transfer admission -- even if they do not want transfer credit from their previous school.
Students who have completed AP, IB, or Cambridge A or AS level curriculum are eligible to receive transfer credit.
Students must submit final high school transcripts.
You must submit your official final high school transcript as soon as it is available. If you do not submit your final official transcript to us by the end of your first semester at Wichita State University,
you will not be allowed to enroll for subsequent terms.

A Bachelor of Music (BM) in performance—keyboard emphasis—will help take your musical talent to a higher level. You’ll train like a professional with acclaimed faculty. And you’ll have the opportunity to dazzle audiences on campus and across the state’s center of arts and culture. The degree is ideal for advanced study in music—and opens doors to successful performance careers locally, nationally and internationally. At Wichita State, applied learning is everything. In fact, every degree we offer has a guaranteed applied learning or research experience built right into it equipping you with the relevant skills and experience to make you workforce ready before graduation. The BM in performance degree combines courses in performance, history and literature of music, conducting, WSU’s general education requirements and more. In addition, all music majors must pass a piano proficiency examination.
