The master of music is designed as a two-year program that offers in-depth study for students highly gifted in music performance, music education, music theory, composition, or research. Students seeking this degree are required to complete 30-32 hours of course work, culminating in a creative project, recital, research paper, or thesis near the end of their degree work. This degree plan requires an audition or portfolio review for admission, all students are also required to complete a master's oral exit exam in their final semester.
