Earn a master’s degree in Music Technology and pursue research and advanced skills in areas including sound recording, recorded music, music production, live sound, electronic music, signal processing, immersive audio, XR (ARVR) systems, music cognition, music informatics, machine learning, and more.Your program of study includes core classes in advanced musical acoustics, advanced computer music composition, digital signal theory, digital audio processing, and cognate elective classes. You are also required to take a music class that involves performance, such as an ensemble course, and to complete and defend a master's thesis.The Music Technology Program has built relationships with industry leaders around the world as well as local recording studios, media companies, and performance venues where students have gained research opportunities and internships that have often led to permanent employment opportunities.
