The total number of semester units required for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music is 120 units, of which 45-47 units are in the major. Consult with the appropriate undergraduate adviser for the specific number of units required in each segment of the degree including GE and free electives. A BA Senior Recital (MUS 4410) or Senior Project (MUS 4870) is required. Students must receive a grade of C or better for core courses in the degree program to satisfy music degree requirements for graduation. Students must be enrolled in 4000-level applied music during the semester the Senior Recital is performed. Students electing to complete a Senior Project must register for at least 2 units of MUS 4870 over a minimum of two semester including the semester during which the final project is submitted. Units earned in MUS 4870 may be used to satisfy elective course requirements.
