Ball State's bachelor's degree in art education provides dynamic and comprehensive training and licensure in the teaching of art at all levels. Our success rate with job placement is close to 100 percent every year.The art education (teaching) major at Ball State prepares students for the challenges of today’s art classroom. Students earn an Indiana K-12 teaching license in art while learning the discipline-based method of art education.As part of this method, you’ll develop your content fluency within an academically rigorous course of study that emphasizes the art disciplines of studio, criticism, art history, and aesthetics. Simultaneously, you’ll hone your teaching skills through courses dedicated to art-specific and general instructional methods, which are applied in classrooms in the local elementary, middle, and high schools.
