DePaul's Art major provides a broad foundation in studio art with classes that focus on understanding fundamental artistic concepts through research and conceptual thinking, creative problem solving, artistic skill development, and the historical functions of art and how it impacts present day and the future. You'll take a wide range of courses in state-of-the-art facilities, including digital computer labs, darkrooms, and studio space for wood and metal sculpture, video, printmaking, painting and drawing. The Art class sizes are small, offering you personalized attention from professors who are also practicing artists.
