Our graduate programs with a concentration in sculpture will provide you with a nurturing environment where you can explore a wide range of possibilities relevant to contemporary artistic practice. As a master's student, you will gain an understanding of basic sculptural processes and materials, including working with wood, plaster, metal fabrication and a range of alternative materials. You will be encouraged to experiment with these materials and processes in order to develop a visual sensibility of your own.<br><br>Crossing over disciplines and finding alternative ways of making are strongly supported. Concurrent to becoming familiar with a broad range of materials and processes, your critical skills will be refined through in-depth group critiques, assigned reading and discussion sessions, and individual guidance. An energetic and open atmosphere is maintained to encourage experimentation and risk taking.
