Learn pedagogical methods and drama strategies that can be integrated into the teaching of theatre, reading, writing, and language arts. Explore strategies wherein literacy flourishes, reading comes alive, and students investigate issues of personal and social significance, and gain hands-on experience in New York schools. This program leads to New York State initial certification as a teacher of theatre and a teacher of English.Successful completion of this program enables you to be eligible for New York State initial teaching certification as a teacher of English, grades 7-12, and Theatre, all grades (Pre-K – 12).
