Our annual production schedule includes mainstage shows, summer theatre, dance productions, and studio theatre. Whether you thrive in the spotlight or behind the scenes, youll have plenty of opportunities to practice your art and pursue your dreams.<br><br>You can also customize your studies to match your interests and goals. You have several options as a theatre and interpretation major at Central Michigan University:<br><br>Bachelor of science (BS) or bachelor of arts (BA) in theatre and interpretation<br>Bachelor of fine arts (BFA) with a concentration in acting and directing<br>Bachelor of fine arts (BFA) with a concentration in design and technical theatre<br>Whichever path you choose, youll work with faculty who are dedicated to bringing out the best in you. Youll also work with visiting artists who are directors, Fulbright scholars, playwrights, designers and performers. In the class and on set, youll learn about new concepts in theatre and get insights into professional practice.
