The Arts Education program at Bishop’s University leads to a Bachelor of Education in Teaching and Learning of the Creative Arts. This degree is required in order to be eligible for a teaching permit or “brevet d’enseignement”. Students choose from one of the following concentrations: Drama, Fine Arts, or Music. Students in this program are prepared to teach at both the Elementary and Secondary school levels. Creative Arts educators empower students to express themselves and explore their creativity. Drama, fine arts, and music help students develop confidence, emotional intelligence, and an appreciation for artistic expression. These teachers foster innovation and critical thinking while guiding learners to connect with culture and collaborate with others. Their classrooms encourage self-discovery and provide students with the tools to navigate a rapidly changing world. At Bishop’s University’s School of Education, we prepare future Creative Arts educators to inspire and engage young minds.
