The philosophy of the Technology, Arts and Media (TAM) program is to integrate creative production, critical thinking and technical skills. TAM teaches a diverse and robust skill­set that is not confined to specific disciplines like ''graphic design'' or ''digital art.'' The program challenges students to become aware of the various disciplinary perspectives in the field and to contextualize their work accordingly.<br><br>Graduates of the program demonstrate a mastery of creative technology as well as the necessary technical, theoretical and historical perspectives that are crucial to the development of new functionalities, aesthetics and innovations in the field. They are adept at assessing the intersections of technology with other practices and areas of study, and they can think creatively about technology's impact on the world.
