To be granted full admission, applicants must hold the equivalent of a U.S. baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Usually transcripts will be evaluated by the Graduate School, however, in unusual circumstances, the University may require applicants to submit their credentials to an outside agency before an admission decision will be made. Required Cumulative GPA: 3.0. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit an acceptable English language proficiency test score. For applicants whose native language is not English, the applicant must have a minimum TOEFL IBT (IBT Home Edition also accepted) 80, IELTS - 6.5

课程简介
At the core of our M.F.A. program is a close one-on-one mentorship with professors and regular critiques with fellow students. Students investigate ideas and process deeply and develop their understanding through studio work, research, writing, presentation, and critical analysis. The coursework includes:<br>individual study with professors,<br>theory and criticism,<br>professional development and college teaching,<br>critique colloquia, and<br>thematic studio explorations.<br>Students are limited to only six (6) credits of graduate-level approved 400-level courses.<br><br>At UM, youll learn from nationally known artists who exhibit in more than 17 countries, in venues including the National Portrait Gallery, Harvard University, Smithsonian Institute, New York Public Library, and Fule International Ceramic Art Museums. Youll also get plenty of individual attention and personal support working in small classes with faculty and your fellow art majors.
