The Master of Arts in Art Studio degree will expand your skills in a variety of art media. The program includes 32 total credits of coursework in art history, art theory and criticism, museology, graphic design, and studio courses focused on a chosen medium. You will also complete a research course in which you explore the nature and process of creative artistic inquiry, including library research tools and extensive independent research on a selected topic, leading to a final creative project.<br><br>You may choose between eight concentrations:<br><br>Ceramics<br>Drawing<br>Graphic design<br>Painting<br>Photography<br>Printmaking<br>Sculpture<br>Sculpture-wood/Studio furniture<br>You will also complete a culminating experience, choosing from among three options: a final exhibition with the design and installation of an exhibition, along with a written statement, a research paper under the direction of an advisory committee, or a formal presentation centered around a theme of art.
