The MFA program at UAlberta is a flexible, practice-based program that offers students opportunities to develop a media-based studio practice, as well as to work across multiple media. Students work with faculty versed in artistic-research methodologies and draw on expertise from across the university for interdisciplinary experiences.The Department of Art & Design sculpture program offers a diverse range of opportunities for your studies in this three-dimensional art form. You will explore creating art works in different media, such as clay, plaster, metal, wood, fabric, and mixed media, using various methods and techniques.The primary aim of the sculpture graduate program is to enable you to continue your undergraduate work to a professional level within a studio environment and to place you in a position of informed criticism and judgment in relation to personal development.
