At The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), we help drawing and painting students discover their unique artistic voice through a combination of solid technical training and an understanding of both traditional and contemporary approaches to art making.Most importantly, we support each student's personal explorations of who they are, what they care about and the work they want to do. We are also there to help plan for the next step in their artistic career. Some of our students have pursued graduate degrees at top programs while others apply their skills to other arts careers, such as arts intervention for at-risk youth, teaching learning-disabled children, working as technical illustrators or even opening their own gallery spaces.
