All candidates must have a BA/BFA/BS or equivalent international degree. Official transcript of all previous college or university work The Intermedia Program normally accepts applications for both the MA and MFA in the winter of each year (December through February) for the following fall semester. Admission to the program is based on acceptance by the UMaine Graduate School and a faculty review of all required application materials. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the last two years of upper-division coursework. In addition to general admission procedures, application to the Intermedia Program at the University of Maine requires submission of a portfolio of creative work in one, or several fields and a creative statement. The portfolio should represent either the past professional or creative work of the applicant and should give evidence of the applicant’s maturity, imagination and skill as well as demonstrate her or his potential for advanced graduate level study in creative areas.
