The School of Art at UNC Greensboro is dedicated to helping students transform their passion for creativity and the visual arts into a professional and personal life centered on the arts. Students develop artistic skills while also gaining a solid foundation in art history, theory, and criticism. Focused, serious work inside the classroom and studios is combined with numerous opportunities to engage with the larger community beyond campus.<br><br>PROGRAM DISTINCTIONS<br>Faculty in the School of Art exhibit both nationally and internationally (New York, Berlin, Cairo, Montreal, Beijing, and other sites worldwide) while remaining committed to teaching and are acknowledged by UNCG Teaching Excellence Awards.<br>The UNCG College of Visual and Performing Arts is the largest arts college in North Carolina and one of the largest in the Southeast.<br>Accreditations & Affiliations include the National Association of Schools Art & Design.<br>Facilities include a woodshop, sculpture foundry, ceramic studios, photography studio with wet lab, high-end computer labs, and printmaking, painting, and drawing studios.
