Graduate students in the School of Art focus on creating a robust body of work that is both technically skilled and conceptually engaged. We offer concentrations in digital art, graphic design, painting, photography and printmaking. Graduate students benefit from one-on-one relationships with professors, a curriculum designed to encourage them to situate their work within contemporary thought and practice and studio spaces in the center of Tulsa's Brady Arts District. The School of Art offers a three-year Master of Fine Arts, which is a degree in studio art aimed at artists interested in developing their portfolio and gaining skills to prepare them as teachers and practicing artists. We also offer a two-year Master of Arts in studio art aimed at students wishing to develop their professional practice. In both degree programs, students work closely with professors to produce a corpus of artistic work accompanied by a written thesis that explains and situates the work within historical and contemporary practices.
