Future showrunners learn the craft of becoming a sought-after producer in an ever-changing television landscape by creating a vetted writing portfolio and web series to cultivate their identity as a storyteller. DePaul's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television emphasizes the technical aspects of media production and explores the relationship between cinema production technologies and creative artistic expression. As a Film and Television student, you will gain practical production experience through classes, internships and DePaul's Project Bluelight program, where you will work with other students and faculty members on a full-length feature film or independent short productions. You will take some classes at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, where you will learn your craft on a DePaul dedicated soundproof soundstage, and work in the same space with professional directors, lighting technicians, filmmakers, set designers and actors.
