At NYFA, the 1-Year Film program provides hands-on experience, and students create a number of their own original films, learning how to direct, write, shoot, produce, and edit projects. In addition to the practical production training, students complete rigorous coursework, rounding out their skills in cinematic storytelling. The program culminates in a final film, where students can fully demonstrate their skills and talent.<br><br>Throughout the program, students can evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, helping them choose an educational or creative pathway that fits their ambitions and interests. Individuals interested in pursuing goals in filmmaking can also use our program to bolster their skills in video content, learn the industry standard software and technology, and learn the entire production process from start to finish. Upon graduation from the 2-Year Filmmaking Program, students will earn a college credit bearing Certificate.
