课程简介
Theater, film, and television demand bold, creatively inspired, and technically skilled directors to bring stories to life. The School of Drama's three-year MFA program in Directing offers rigorous, collaborative training, and a rich array of projects for directors who wish to enter the profession as unique, adaptive, and highly valued artists. At the School of Drama, directors engage in the imaginative exploration of classic texts and the development of new plays, performance pieces, and films. Interrogating a wide range of styles, genres, and approaches to making theater, directors hone and synthesize their technical and creative skills. Coursework includes story analysis, interpretation, collaborating with writers and actors, acting, theater history, creative technology, production and design, and adaptation. Directors present their work in studios, in nontraditional venues, and in mainstage productions.
