The BA Honours International Politics and Law degree is taught within Middlesex University's School of Law where we deliver high-quality teaching and research, and provide a supportive learning environment, helping students to achieve excellent academic results. The programme provides students with the knowledge and understanding of the legal, economic, political and cultural implications of living in an increasingly inter-dependent world and provide them experiential opportunities through which they can link academic work with 'real world' situations in order to conceptualise the meaning of theory in the wider world context. The programme is structured to ensure students will graduate with the relevant and up-to-date skills and abilities necessary to become effective professionals. The Programme seeks to develop students? critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills, specialized knowledge of the foundations, application and interpretation of laws and complex global issues, and provides a variety of opportunities to network and learn from global leaders in law and politics. This Programme is targeted toward students who want to be challenged to explore, research and analyse global issues relating to law and policy in international settings. This Programme provides students with both the theoretical background into law and international politics, exposure to ideas from a variety of disciplines and perspectives, and an opportunity to understand current international affairs ranging from globalization to global security to climate change. The overall objective is to prepare ?students of the world?, people who think critically about global issues and problems and apply that knowledge in a practical manner.
