The MTheol consists of a thesis in theology or religious studies. You can explore sacred texts and traditions and the roles these play in different cultural, global and historical contexts. Our programme recognises the emerging cross-disciplinary features within the study of theology and religion, and gives you the opportunity to focus on an area that interests you. Complete a substantial research project and experience the satisfaction of contributing to the study of theology and religion. Master of Theology can help to prepare you for a career in religious education and teaching, social work and youth work, chaplaincy and church ministry, counselling and pastoral care, and community work. You will also develop transferable skills that you can use in a range of other careers in various sectors.
