The College works with Adelaide International School (AIS) to offer a specialised program preparing students for secondary studies. The course is generally one semester for long-term students needing full-time Intensive English development. This includes orientation to Australian teaching and learning and academic skill development before entering their mainstream year levels. Classes are conducted on campus at the Adelaide International School ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) Centre. Students can observe some suitable high school classes and integrate into selected mainstream subject classes at Immanuel College in their final term in the ELICOS Centre. While studying ELICOS, international students reside in the Immanuel College Boarding House to assist with their social transition to Immanuel College.
