At our beautiful Penryn eco-campus, you may study a full range of literature from the Renaissance to the present day, as well as creative writing in a unique environment and studying approaches and concepts in history from 1600 to the present.Russell Group research-led degree but at an intimate scale, with cohorts of only 50-80 students per year.Home to the Exeter Centre for Literatures of Identity, Place and Sustainability, staff at the Penryn Campus have specialist knowledge of literature and place and this informs teaching in a variety of ways.Chance to go on field trips to historic sites in Cornwall and a departmentally subsidised field trip to Rome and Florence.Students are active in extracurricular activities and opportunities, including the Penryn Press, a student run and founded publishing house.<br><br>With practical modules on offer and opportunity to undertake professional placements, a degree in English will give you plenty of opportunity to develop your professional portfolio which will give you the skills and experience needed to be successful in your chosen career.An English degree puts you in a great position to succeed in a range of careers.
