Our BA Italian and Russian course will provide you with a detailed knowledge of both the language and culture of Italy from the medieval period to the present day, and a broad grounding in Russian language, culture and society.Culture course units include the study of the history, politics, literary and visual culture of each country, and are taught by a range of specialists within these fields.A linguistics pathway is available to those interested in the history of the Italian language and its dialects.With placement options available at partner universities and in professional environments across the globe, a compulsory third year abroad gives our undergraduate students unforgettable and invaluable personal and professional experience.You can study and/or work for up to a year in a country or countries relevant to your chosen language(s) to improve your communicative language skills in a native-speaker environment.<br><br>A degree in Modern Languages and Cultures paves the way for a broad range of careers. You'll develop intercultural awareness and enhanced communication skills - both highly valued by employers.
