At Elam, you will develop skills in creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and entrepreneurship. These skills will prepare you to make an impact in businesses and other organisations, in all areas of the creative industries and in the wider community. The BFA gives you the freedom to bring your ideas to life by exploring, researching, and experimenting in a wide range of creative mediums and technologies. Our teachers and specialist technicians will support and guide your making, allowing you to refine your skills and produce artworks of high calibre.The Bachelor of Global Studies is designed to help you make a difference by applying your knowledge to the big issues of our increasingly globalised world. You will be exposed to new ways of thinking about the world. You will gain an in-depth understanding of contemporary issues and challenge your assumptions about how the world works. As you gain competency in another language you’ll deepen your understanding of other cultures and perspectives. You will develop skills for future careers that demand leadership, teamwork, public speaking, critical thinking, research and intercultural communication.French involves not only language study, but also knowledge of the culture, history and literature of France and the French-speaking world. French is one of the major languages of diplomacy and international organisations and is widely spoken on five continents. Alongside developing your language skills you can also develop your knowledge of the culture, history and literature of France and the French-speaking world. Your knowledge of French language and culture could lead to a career in diplomatic and government service, trade and business, teaching, research, tourism, libraries or translation and interpreting. French can be particularly useful for careers in international organisations and multinational companies. French is an official language of the UN, UNESCO and NATO.
