The purpose of this qualification is to provide the health sector and massage therapy industry with people who can provide wellness and relaxation massage therapy services. After graduating you will be able to work within the scope of practice defined by wellness and relaxation massage. You will communicate and refer with remedial massage therapists, allied health, wellness and medical professionals for those specialist services. The NZ Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage is a one year full-time or equivalent part-time programme, which offers you stimulating studies leading towards a qualification as a massage therapist. This programme provides practical and theoretical knowledge and skills in massage and has close links with the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science.
