You must have:

• NCEA Level 2 with passes in English / Te Reo Maori, or
• Equivalent Educational achievement, or
• completed the New Zealand Certificate in Exercise (Level 4), or
• completed the New Zealand Certificate in Freestyle Group Exercise (Level 4), or
• Special Admission, and
• Satisfactory Police vetting

For Levels 5, 6 and 7 certificate or diploma students must have: NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo Maori or education achievement at least equivalent to NCEA Level 2 and a minimum of 42 credits at level 3; OR Evidence of ability to complete academic requirements for the programme.

For applicants for whom English is not their first language, evidence of language competency may be required.

IELTS Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0; TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT) score of 46 (with a writing score of 14); Cambridge English Qualifications: B2 First or B2 First for schools with a score of 162. No less than 154 in each skill; OET: Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests; PTE (Academic) score of 42 with no band score lower than 36.
