The BSc Degree in Psychology is delivered by expert academics engaged in fascinating research. The study of psychology is about understanding fascinating concepts such as human thinking, memory, problem solving, emotion, development, communication, relationships, and using a scientific approach to apply them in a broad range of areas from health, education and work to more specific areas, like teamwork, stress management and conflict resolution.The course builds your understanding of psychological theory to the stage where you will be able to apply it in practice. You will have the option of spending 20 hours on a work placement in your second year, culminating in the writing of a report. Options in Level 6 then allow you to specialise in areas as diverse as education, forensics, health, work psychology, cognitive neuroscience, positive psychology and substance use.
