You are normally expected to have at least a good second-class honours degree, or its equivalent, in any subject discipline.

You would also normally be expected to have some library or other information-related practical work experience. Your experience can be full or part time, paid or voluntary, based in a library or another organisation carrying out an information role. Some applicants have 12 months' work experience or more, but others do not, there is flexibility around this.
