If you want to study on the Police Sciences degree but don't have the right qualifications, this one-year foundation course will help you build the skills, knowledge and confidence to progress to higher level studies. If you pass the Foundation Year, you'll have guaranteed progression to the first year of our BSc (Hons) Police Sciences degree. Taught by former police staff and internationally renowned academics, this highly respected Police Sciences degree - taught here for more than 15 years - will prepare you for the challenges of modern policing and related professions. You will gain a detailed understanding of policing as you learn what it takes to be an e?cient police o?cer who is ready for the challenges of the 21st century. From cybercrime and digital forensics to community safety and protecting the vulnerable in society, your learning experiences will make use of the latest technology. We are one of the few universities in the world and the only one in Wales to have a Hydra Simulation Centre, which is used to train police of?cers at all levels - from Constable to Chief Constable.
