an undergraduate degree of at least second class standard in the social sciences or another appropriate subject with some experience of community and youth work
at least four months of fulltime or parttime equivalent work experience prior to starting the MA We also offer the MA in Applied Anthropology Community and Youth Work professionally validated by the National Youth Agency for applicants with more work experience Experience can include paid or unpaid work voluntary community and youth work in organisations and relevant informal work
If English isnt your first language you will need an IELTS score or equivalent English language qualification of 6.5 with a 6.5 in writing and no element lower than 6.0 to study this programme
TOEFL IBT - 92 overall with 23 in Writing and no lower than 20 in each other skill will meet English language requirements.

This is a pathway of the MA Applied Anthropology & Community and Youth Work, aimed both at international applicants who may not need a British National Youth Agency qualification and those who want to become specialists in community development.<br><br>This MA is a second pathway to the MA Applied Anthropology and Community and Youth Work. It was launched in 2012 as an option for international or home students who do not need an National Youth Agency qualification and for those who want to specialise in community development. A third pathway, the MA Applied Anthropology and Community Arts started in 2015.<br>The three pathways entail different placements but are taught together, providing much opportunity for exchange of ideas and collaboration amongst students.<br>You'll learn from leading academics, with Goldsmiths being rated top 10 in the UK for anthropology in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023.<br><br>Length<br>1 year full-time or 2 years part-time
