Our MA in Aegean Archaeology offers a series of specialist modules on the archaeology of the Aegean and neighbouring regions, with emphasis particularly on prehistoric periods (Neolithic to Early Iron Age - c. 7000 - c. 700 BC, including the Bronze Age Minoan and Mycenaean worlds), but also offering scope to study later periods. You can explore themes such as: landscape change ,subsistence ,material culture and identity,analysis of single sites ,Bronze and Iron Age trading systems,the history of archaeology in the Aegean,current theoretical approaches, ,the contexts of Bronze Age Aegean and Cypriot literacy,the analysis of ceramics, seeds or animal bones. Throughout the programme you will be encouraged and supported in the development of intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving and independent judgement. This programme is offered as a MA (180 credits), Diploma (120 credits) or a Certificate (60 credits).<br>Duration One year full-time or two years part-time.
