Gender studies is an interdisciplinary field rooted in the belief that all aspects of social life are 'gendered'. This area of study encourages the application of innovative theories and research techniques to understand how bodies are sexed, gendered, and sexually oriented. It also explores how these concepts intersect with contemporary global discussions on sexual and reproductive health as well as the diversity of sexualities.A major in gender studies, with a particular focus on Asia, introduces students to a variety of feminist and queer analytical models. These models enhance critical and methodological skills, foster problem-solving abilities, and build professional capabilities through internships. Moreover, this field emphasizes an ethos of gender equality and social justice that is transferable to various career paths.
