文学硕士（MA）学位有两种途径，分别是课程工作或论文。MA可以为教育，地区和国家政府机构，私营部门以及工业界的就业做好准备。该学位也是哲学博士（PhD）的入学资格。童年和青年研究可以作为文学硕士（MA）的学习课程。这是针对只有社会科学背景（或相关学科）的学生的论文类课程，他们希望通过就有关儿童，年轻人及其家庭的问题进行研究来发展自己的技能。强烈建议准学生在11月底之前联系儿童问题中心主任，以确定他们是否符合入学标准。
This subject is for students with a social science background (or a related discipline) who want to develop their skills by conducting a piece of research concerning issues relating to children, young people and their families. It is strongly recommended that prospective students contact the Director of the Children's Issues Centre by the end of November to determine whether they meet the criteria for enrolment. Participants in the course will meet at four audioconferences during the year (dates and times are available from the Children's Issues Centre).
