Work Placement Duration: 200 hours<br>Students will undertake 1-2 days per week during the course. Hours per week will be dependent on the work placement site. Prior to work placement, international students will be required to apply for and successfully receive the following South Australian Department of Human Services Screenings prior to undertaking any vocational placement: working with children, disability, aged and vulnerable persons. They will also need to have a current Through their eyes, Child Safe Environment Certificate to attend placement.<br><br>Course Notes<br>The Diploma in Community Services has been superseded and is in transition to the new version. Early indications are that the Diploma will be longer than the current 1.5 semesters. There may be other changes, such as entry criteria, package duration, credit between the TAFE SA courses and local university courses, fees, campus and other things. Transfer to the new version, and any changes to delivery, is subject to approval. More details will be provided once known.<br>The Certificate IV and Diploma of Community Services can be undertaken as a 1.5 semester package, some credit is available between the courses within the package. Further details of the course structure and fee schedule will be outlined in the offer letter.
